Our Story
Greg, our owner, started his culinary journey in the kitchens of Vancouver. Born and raised in Gold River, he moved to Vancouver as a young adult, where he developed a passion for quality food. In 1993, Greg saw the potential to create something special with Butchers Block, purchasing the business and dedicating himself to its success. For over 30 years, he has been a trusted figure in the local food scene, known for his commitment to providing high-quality products and supporting local producers.
In 2019, Greg's son, Colby, joined the team, bringing fresh perspectives and energy. After five years of dedication, Colby became a co-owner in January 2024, ensuring the legacy of quality and community continues at Butchers Block. It’s a family affair, with Greg’s wife, Christine, and their son, Tanner, also contributing to the business, ensuring its success and growth.
